May Blog Hop

WELL WELL WELL....... it is that time of the month again...haha! BLOG HOP time.

This months challenge was to use scor lines..I do not have a scor pal however I do have a scor blade for my 12x12 trimmer.

It was kinda fun to do once I got the hang of it- I only ruined 3 partial pieces of Lemon Tart (gasp)!!!!

I used Berry Sorbet and Lemon Tart papers and inks with the yummy saddle stitch ribbon. The flowers are die cuts from the cuttle bug and the stamps are from Beautiful Blooms -ALL from Papertrey.

Beautiful Spirit

This is another layout I did recently. Feels good to get back to scrapping. I have a pile of photos that need to be "scrapped'.
This page used Crate Paper and Bazzill Cardstock. The sentiment is Foil Rub-Ons from We R Memory Keepers- great idea but they don't work so well on textured cardstock- live and learn!!

Sketch This #50 MOM Seriously!!!!

I really needed to get back to scrapbooking!!
I have been WAY distracted by cards lately. I have tons of those now which will need to find homes....more on that later. I managed to knock out 3 layouts so far this week and finished up a double page for another contest--woohoo!!

I decided to give Janelle Richmond's sketch a try. You can see her awesome blog and this week's sketch HERE

I love her sketches because they are single page layouts- I really don't like to do double page layouts that much anymore.

For this layout I used Jenny Bowlin paper as the main background and Chatterbox PP as the accent. The title is die cut with Quickutz MOXIE (love). The jounalling tag is also Jenny Bowlin. I added some Die Cut starts and Solver brads to add a little bling!! I used a doodle template from Crafters Workshop down the left side to add a bit of detail...I thought it was looking a little naked!!

I LOVE this photo of Isaak and Lola. It is so hard to get a nice photo of Isaak these days- he's always hiding his face or sticking out his tongue...........teenagers!!!

Lola just adores her big brother!!!

I have again taken a break from Scrapbooking- not really sure why because I love it SOOOO much. Well I'm back in a BIG way- I did 3 layouts over the weekend .

This one is one of my favourite pics of Lola- this was a few months ago when she was just learning how to manipulate me with her pouts!!!!!
I got this kit- Let's Pretend from Imaginisce- it had all kinds of cool stuff inside and I loved the bright cheery colours!!. It had these little rhinestones, Flowers, Brads, Rub-ons etc!!!

Kristina Werner Color Inspiration #7

I actually made a card this week- alert the media!!!

I have been in a FUNK partially because my back is killing me and I think I've lost my mojo.........

Well, anyways I decided that I was going to go Kristina's Challenge this week- I just LOVE these and its a great way to discover yummy combos to use again and again.

You can see her post HERE

I used Stampin Up cardstock in Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and Soft Sky.

The stamps were stamped with Very Vanilla Craft ink with Papertrey Ink's Polka Dot Basics.

The cute little flower was actually handmade, I had purchased a few of these at Scrapfest a couple weeks ago- I thought this was the perfect card to use it on.

Ribbon is American Crafts, I also used Doodle Bug paper frills and a Doodle Bug brad.
