We are headed into a loooong weekend for Canada Day...Thats our theme this week too

This week is all about being Patriotic..either US or Canada

I decided to go with the colour scheme of red white- and a teenie bit of blue for my card

I even did a colour wash on the paper to dirty it up a bit

New quilt...

So I finally finished the quilt I stated months ago...just was not feeling it...YKWIM?

Its a biggie- queen size- now on my bed!

The pattern is fool on the hill..now I am thinking another 4 letter F WORD --what a giant pain in the ass this was...trying to shove yards of fabric through my standard size machine...F-ME!!!

Mamma needs a long arm!

So,

Saturday I spent some time with Karen at the Art House..

we were at an auction this past week and picked up some antique frames

now they were pretty rough (I wish I did a before shot)

So a couple coats of krylon, some Claudine Helmuth and pretty fabric later, this is what I ended up with

Its actually really big-- like 32x22

I loved the challenge this week over at cas-ual fridays tic tac toe- seriously how cool!!! Three in a row- I went with chipboard, ribbon and buttons.

Well its Friday and officially my mojo has taken a TANK..better come back because I have an ALL DAY crop Saturday!!
