Simple Sympathy Card

Well, my 22 month old is sick today so I took the day off. I thought I'd take advantage of naptime and make something pretty.

I have never been good at these kind of cards because I never really felt that I had the right stamps/sentiments to make it. Anyhoo, since I purchased Out on a Limb from Papertrey, I thought I'd be able to do something appropriate.

I used Palette Inks on some shimmery vellum to make the tree which I undermounted in the frame I cut out. The patterened paper is chatterbox. The ribbon was a scrap that I saved (now I know why I save these teeny bits of ribbon) that matched perfect. I wanted something neutral and understated.
I distressed the edges with the Basic Grey precision file set--uh LOVE...wondering why I didn't buy that sooner. This turned out just how I wanted and I won't feel weird giving it away whenever I may need it.

A Little birdie told me.........

This was a quickie card made with a $1.50 michaels stamp I got ages ago. I used a scrap of Patterned Paper from Chatterbox that I mounted on a scallop rectangle Nestabilities Die. The base is Stampin Up Cardstock in Pale Plum and some random green cardstock. I coloured the birdie with some Marvy Markers ( gotta get me some copics). The ribbon was a left over from a chatterbox scrapbook kit.
I didnt complete the inside sentiment yet...I'll have to see what the birdie tells me first.......

Mellow Just Because

Well what can I say I am in LOVE with the Paper Tray set from Papertrey Ink- so versatile.

I used the leftover scraps of Basic Grey Mellow paper from the heart tin I made in my last post. I mounted it on some textured Bazzill cardstock and used Cool Carribean from Stampin Up and some tangerine texutured Bazzill for the accents. I Inked the sentiments in versamark then heat embossed with White embossing powder. I added some punched flowers from Stampin Up's Spring Bouquet Flower Punch.I added a few matching Brads for some detail.

Wow, I actually made a card without ribbon.

I LOVE LOVE how this card turned out- very simple but the colour and elements just pop- don't ya think????

Heart Tins from Papertrey

I
I made the first tin for my daughters daycare provider. I used some really cute flocked paper I got at Target a while ago. The Flourish was die cut from a quickuts die.

The second tin is made with Basic Grey Mellow papers (love). I die cut the flowers with my new quickutz die in 3 different colours and them mixed them up. I used bazzill cardstock and Stampin up. Again, I wanted something not too "valentinish".

Bloom

I just love Spiral Bouquet from papertrey. I was playing around a bit and came up with this one using the new In Colour Inks from Stampin up. I popped out a few flowers just for interest.

Circle card

I bought these fun little buttons a while back at walmart and have been meaning to do something with them....well here it is. I hand sewed them on with some thread and I used papertrey stampers select for the base which I cut out with my coluzzle. I used bashful blue cardstock from stampin up for the sky. I pierces the stems but you can't really see it in the photo. I stamped the grassy thing from Papertrey's Punny Valentine set and then hand cut some more and mounted them with a pop dot for some dimention. For the background I stamped the smallest butterfly from Papertrey's Butterfly Kisses with a few palette inks and used a silver sharpie to "dot" the body.

Gotta Say LOVE those palette inks!

WSC32 with Papertrey Spiral Bouquet

I fell in LOVE with this card from Roxy which you can find here. It was Beate's weekend sketch 31. I used papertrey spiral bouquet for the stamps. The images are stamped with Stampin Up Wild wasabi on the wild wasabi paper, and also with River Rock and versamark. The Red cardstock is from Wordwin and was stamped with Versamark and Palette moulin rouge. I Threw in some tempting Turquiose for a little "Punch". I used the cuttlebug to die cut some felt for the flowers.

WSC 32 my first challenge

Well, here goes.........

I needed to make my Husband a Valentines card anyways so I thought I would use this opportunity to do so. I wanted to do something in black and white this time, I love black and white cards but haven't really made alot of them.

I used DCWV glitter stack for the background paper, Stampin up Black cardstock and some deep red cardstock from who-knows-where (lol), I hand cut a heart from chipboard and covered it with black cardstock which I stamped and heat embossed with red embossing powder. The "sweet" sentiment was heat embossed. It is from Papertrey Ink's Eat Cake set and I die cut a scallop square from Cuttlebug. The "for you" sentiment is also from Papertrey's Papertray set. I set some cute heart eyelets and finished it off with some black and White gingham ribbon. I sed Palette Ink Noir.

Eat Cake with Papertrey

These are few cards I made with the Eat Cake Set from Papertrey.

The First card is a wedding card I made using Gate Fold style.I used some random black and white stripe and polka dot paper. The base is Stampin Up black cardstock and the fold is a shimmery burgundy cardstock. I cut the scallops with nestabilities. the sentiments were heat embossed.

The second card was made with some funky Marcella K paper. It matched Stampin Up Old Olive, Groovy Guava and Purely Pomegranate PERFECT. I wanted to use a less traditional colour scheme this time, I think it turned out pretty neat.

The third card was one of my fav's. I used this pretty Chatterbox paper that matched the flower overlay really nicely. I used Stampin Up cardstock and Inks on this one as well. The ribbon slide with the sentiment is from Cuttlebug.

More papertrey???

This was one of my favorite cards that I made with the Eat Cake set. I made this for my friend Deanna when she got a promotion.I used Stampin up soft subtles cardstock and Chatterbox paper.

Stamped Walls- labour of LOVE- sorta

This is an old project but, I thought I would share it anyways because it is one of my favorites.

I wanted to do something fresh and fun in my daughter's room while incorporating my love for scrapbooking. There was this line of paper by Chatterbox the i fell in love with at the time and I used that as my inspiration.

This seriously was the BIGGEST pain in the bum, however, I was so happy with the results. I used Stampin up Simply Circles to stamp the random Polka dots in different paints on my daughters walls. The background painting technique is "Linen". Basically you have your background colour- mine was kind of tan\caramel. Then you take white paint mixed 1 part paint to 2 parts glaze and you use a stiff wide brush and you just brush it on horizontally. You let that dry then do the same process vertically.

Hope you like it.

Fashion Faux Pas ???

Ok gotta share some family stuff. My Daughter Lola who is 22months old is really into the dress up thing right now. She got this little truck of Dora princess clothes for Christmas and INSISTS on putting every piece on...at the same time. There are 3 separate outfits and she puts them ALL on at the same time wings, hats, shoes, glasses.....all of it.

This is such a fun age, the only trouble is trying to decipher what she says sometimes. It took me a week to learn that "leeleelaa" was Cinderella....lmbo

Cheery Get Well

This was made for a friend of mine who is a little under the weather. I wanted something bright and happy looking. I used the Glitter Stack from DCWV, a Heidi swapp ghost flower which i mounted on some shimmery blue paper. It was a quickie ...hope you like it

Simple Boy Birthday Card

I was in a real rush to get this one done but really like how it turned out- Nice and simple.

I used Stampin up Brocade Blue cardstock and Wild Asparagus patterned paper. I hand drew the "5" in chipboard then covered it with Bazzill cardstock. i added a few little brass snaps and the sentiment is from Papertrey (ofcourse).

NEWBIE and some Papertrey

Well, here goes, my first post. I figure I'd start of with my Christmas Cards for this year.

I discovered Papertrey Ink several months ago, what can i say, LOVE !!

Anyway- the first card is the one I mass produced to send to friends and Family. I got the idea off the papertrey customer gallery but cannot seem to find that card now.....

I used Take a Bough, Basic Grey Figgy Pudding of course ...(I have a small addiction to Basic Grey which you will likely learn as I go along), stampin up Cranberry Crisp cardstock and Stampin up Cranberry Crisp, True Thyme, and Cool carribean inks. I also used Liquid Applique on the branches and a page pebble on the ornament.

Next are these little lovelies that I'm afraid I totally cased from Kristina Werner (GASP) . These went to co-workers along with these cute little treat bags. The cards are made with Papertrey Stampers Select cardstock, Stampin up Cranberry Crisp cardstock, True Thyme and Cranberry Crisp Inks. Again I used a page pebble for the ornament. The Stamp Set for the little goodie bags was Holiday Treats From Papertrey.
