these were actually pretty quick and easy and they used about a fat quarter of fabric-plus the lining and strap

 

I didn't have a pattern-just "winged" it

they end up about 8x11

 

these were an order for a girl's birthay party as a giveaway bag

mini frenchy bags....

hey...

its my last day of holidays....booo hisss!!

 

thought I'd post a few bags I've done over the past while

 

These are a smaller scale of Amy Butler's frenchy bag pattern

Can't wait to get home and play with my new fabric....EEEEK!!!!

ruffle bag

so....

I was aksed if I could make one of these Melissa Frances bags

I didn't have a pattern but I figured it looked simple enough right

I dusted off my rufler foot and went to town

Easy Peasy...I made this one pretty big at 18x18

 

I used a tiny brown dot and some left over Moda Giddy fabric

I actually love this bag..Im keeping it..bwahahahaha

I'm starting to get my sewing groove back a bit!!!!

Lola decided her teacher needed a bag as a year end gift so I got my stitching on!!!

I used Amy Butlers Frenchy bag pattern and Lola picked the fabrics

I was feeling like I needed to do something with my massive stash of fat quarters!!

 I searched and found this tutorial

I modified it slightly with a detatchable wristlet

I used jumbo ric rac too

I've been a sewing machine lately

Heres a clutch I made with some amazing fabric I picked up at Hobby Lobby ages ago

and a ruffle scarf I made with some Voile fabric- its sooo soft!

This one that I edited and added some ruffles, its based off an amy butler pattern

and this one uses the most amazing organic fabric- LOOOVE

bitty ruffled book bag

I promised a co-worker several weeks ago I would make her a bag for her granddaughter.....

I'm usually way quicker with this stuff but for whatever reason, I just didn't get to it until this weekend.

I didnt have a pattern for a small person bag so I kinds made one up...

I had to add ruffles..what little girl doesn't like ruffles

The bag is made of really fine wale cord-so frickin cute- it measures about 10x 12

I finally set my mind to getting it done.

Polka dotty blossom bags

Well I've been busy sewing!!!

I had an order for two of these bags from a fellow scrapbook friend. I made one for a donation for a crop a while back and the girl who won it wanted a couple for gifts for her friends.

I used some Michael Miller Polka dot corduroy..really nice and soft.

Lola got a brand new bag!!!!

So I had another successful shopping excursion for fabric while I was in Florida!

I found this absolutely adorable Dwell home dec fabric at Joanne's and Lola decided she needed a bag!

I modified my swing bag and made it smaller and reverseable for her. I attacged some grosgrain ribbons to cute it up a bit!
