TAGS!!

This week at LRW was all about Holiday tags!!

 

I had the honor of participating in Roseanne's tag swap again this year!!

 

Had a great time with 18 lovely crafty ladies!!

 

Here's my tag

I used a lagre maya road bottle cap,

layered some paper with nesties

bleached a bottle tree, added gesso, paint

and a pile of different glitter

 

let me say 18 was ALOT of work!!

so fun though

I used a bit of pink paislee and My Minds Eye

My friend Karen is moving her store and has an open challenge help her decorate her new space

 

its a 6x12 canvas..the only rule is it has to have a house

I had a BLAST with this..I painted, stitched, misted, used washi tape

I even painted some maya road bloom ribbon for the grass..LOL

a wee canvas

so..

I spent some time crafting this weekend, no plans, just putzing

I decided to do a canvas.

I started with artsy house and prismas. I used a stencil and some modeling paste, paint, and fabric .

I had a blast - have to make some more of these!!

I'm always looking for a place to jot down my sketches so I picked up a moleskine cahier.

I stamped flower garden on some vintage bookprint, coloured with prismas and then smooshed some shimmerz on top for sparkle-

I went kinda messy cause I like it that way

rustic burlap tree

hey y'all!!

I'm feeling a little festive so I thought I'd post a project.

I saw this is an issue of Sommerset and LOVED it!!

I just ripped up cardboardand paper then frayed some burlap

slapped on some paint and glitter-

I used a spool for the trunk- easy peasy

Bellarific Friday..free for all

well its Friday and its a free for all!!

I decided to go outside my comfort zone this week and do a little 4x6 canvas.

I used some embossing paste and a plaid stencil for the background.

I decided to embellish with a frame I made with resin and some cool buttons.

I chose unique definition block as my focal point.

so next week is HOLIDAY or Christmas theme..play along and send your cards to emily..there is some bellabucks up for grabs!!!

LRW Chrstmas

Hello all!!

Im currently on a plane to Mexico for a little R&R!!

Anyhoo, our challenge this week was Christmas.

I saw these cute ornaments on a blog but I didnt bookmark it..now I can't find it...

basically its a 3"styrofoam ball, some fabric, embellishments and ribbon.

These are for Lola's daycare teachers for Christmas.

bear ornamenty tag thing.....

its Sunday...I dont know where the weekend went....

I made up a couple of these ornamenty-tag things.

I used a $1.50 wooden snowflake from Michaels which I misted then applied some matte medium.

I mushed it through some art glitter and shaved ice glitter- I am beyond addicted to that stuff!!!

Now....I know that this is supposed to be a white bear ' cause I used

polar bear circle
but I didn't want a white bear...lol

So do you think he should be a tag or an ornament???

teeny clipboard tag

So,

Dee and I went shopping 2 weeks ago and hit a few craft stores

I got a few of these little 3x2.5 clipboards..how CUTE are they

well I thought they'd make amazing gift tags...so I made one.

I used some pebbles stuff from my Studio Calico kit

I kinda wish I got more of these..lol

bitty birdcage

So...

yesterday was a crappy day weather-wise, Lola and I set ourselves to craft some stuff.

She wanted to do something with the birdcages that I got at Michaels like a year+ ago.

This was actually green but all faded from the sun..

I gave it a quick coat with ivory krylon

While the paint was drying- Lola picked a birdie shape from Cricut and we assembled it. I added some stickles because my girl loooves her some glitter.

Its now hanging in her window

This is what I came up with..

I painted a little 3x3 frame from Michaels and added some felt and a sentiment...pretty simple huh.

I`m gonna stick this on my desk at work I think

Hoop-de-doo!!

Well hey there!!

My girl KAREN has her own templates through Crafters Workshop and they are AMAZE-BALLS!!!

she asked me to do a sample and ofcourse I said HELLS YES!!!

I decided to do a hoop since I haven't done one in a while.

I misted, quilted, stamped and ruffled...wow it was so fun!!

I gave it to her yesterday and she was a wee bit excited..LOL

So,

Saturday I spent some time with Karen at the Art House..

we were at an auction this past week and picked up some antique frames

now they were pretty rough (I wish I did a before shot)

So a couple coats of krylon, some Claudine Helmuth and pretty fabric later, this is what I ended up with

Its actually really big-- like 32x22

Fun little frame and some hair schtuff

Hey y'all! Just posting a couple things I've worked on lately First is a little frame thats hanging in my craft room

and these are little hair accessories for the girls that are coming to Lola's party on the weekend-each girl will get 2 attached to barettes

well I guess they aren't that little- they are about 2.5 inches around

I figured these were better than candy- at least for teh parents

I made the boys some applique t-shirts- I'll get those posted later
