my first triangle quilt

ok so I love all these 60degree triangle quilts I'm seeing

 

I thought I'd give one a whirl

 

I used some fat quarters and solids I had on hand

 

I need to play around a bit to get my angles and seams  right but

I had a blast playing around

 

 I backed it in cozy flannel and a sharp white binding

 

well now that I have it figured out I will be making

 more of these babies!!!

well I chose a card I saw on pinterest

I changed it from a valentine to a thank you

I got this stamp from the arthouse and

LOVED it so I just had to colour it

 

Its a stampotique image...I love these weird little guys

anyhoo our challenge this week was a sympathy card...

eck I really don't like doing these

 

I decided it was best kept really simple

 

I used a pti set..no embellishments or anything

just plain and simple

a baby quilt

So I've been sewing up a storm here..

Lots of projects on the go

 

I had a baby gift to make so here it is

here's the card..

I colour up a stampotique stamp with some prismas then added glossy accents to the blue balloon

I love this wee bunny so much!

 

 

I used critter patch organic fabric for the quilt- so friggin cute

 

 

I used a very soft grey with a tiny print for the backing

 

Hope she likes it!!
