this week at Crazy card party we were given a sketch to work with

so....

 I dug out my massive stash of Crate paper ephemera and came up 

with this cheerful birthday card

I just love how this card turned out..may actually have to give it away!

trying something new

well its a new year

time to try something NEW

I got this embroidery hoop kit at Joanne's a while back and it has

 just been sitting and sitting.. I was scared to try it

Well I'm happy with the results, not bad for a first effort with french knots and such

This is resting happily in my daughter's room now

The pic is hard to tell but its a 4" hoop so pretty tiny!

the BEST thing...

so its Thursday again

that means another card challenge

Dee asked us to use gold

I just happened to have a bunch of die cuts and such in my stash 

so I used those to whip up this quick card

so romantic right???

This week we were asked to do a winter theme

I had this collection kit from echo park and came up with these cards with some 

leftovers from the kit

I loved  this kit because I don't typically do this kind of card..super fun

Im really liking big and bold sentiments lately!

I chose this neat and tangled stamp and embossed it

cant really pick up the sparkle

I used my new gansai tambi paints (thanks Patricia)

for the background and a bit of mist
