CPS #58 Rockin a little Verve!

Another great one from CPS!!!

I am keeping with the theme from my previous post- no more cutting paper Regan, use your scraps!!!!
I saw this DCWV glittered paper and it made me think Rock Chick, so I paired that up with some Black and Red cardstock. I cut some stars with my nesties and mounted them with brads (another thing I have WAY WAY too many of, but that's a story for another day).
The sentiment was embossed in Pink and is from Verve Visual- Starlight remized- LOVE this set!!
I really quick 3 minute card but I like it anyway!!

Mojo Monday #31- woo hoo

Oh How I love Mondays- another FAB sketch from Julee.

I'm loving these little owls from Sassafrass Lass- could they be any CUTER? I think not!!!
I have this MASSIVE pile of scraps and I am determined to use them before I cut another full piece of paper- there I said it, now if I could only stick to my word..hmmmmmm
I had this scrap of Patterned Paper from Basic Grey that Inspired my colour combo!
I used Stampin Up Carstock and the patterned paper is Basic Grey Mellow- LOVE!! I stamped the orange with Papertrey's Polka Dot Basics, the dotted circle is also Papertrey from Borders and Corners. The sentiment is from Mixed Messages- also Papertrey. Ink is Palette and Stampin Up

Amy's Friday Sketch 19

I haven't done many of Amy's sketches although I always intend to!!!
Check out her sketch HERE and have a browse around her blog- Gotta love another Canadian chicky!!!
For this layout I used Scenic Route Paper, Stampin Up cardstock, Page Pebbles and some random tiny alphabet I have laying around LMAO!! You know you have too many stamps when you cant even remember what you bought!!
I love the simplicity of the card- what do you guys think?

I accented the crown and round nestabilities with some pink liquid pearls. Sentiment is Papertrey's birthday basics and circle is also Papertrey from Border's and Corners. I needed to make a bright and cheery card seeing as our South-Western Ontario weather is FINALLY starting to turn around. I used Beate's challenge as my opportunity. I have a few

Birthdays coming up so definitely need these cards.

Patterned Paper is American Crafts as is the Grosgrain ribbon. Chipboard is Maya Road which I painted with Adirondak Paint, Cardstock is Stampin Up, Stamps are Stampendous and Ink Is Palette. I used some beads and a fancy headpin for the ribbon knot.

Papertrey Blog Hop woo hoo !!

First ever Blog Hop challenge!!

HOW FUN is this-- you can see the challenge post HERE

It was to utilize ribbon as a focal point on a card.

PLEASE participate and VOTE for your favorites!!! There should be some really neat stuff to check out!! here

I used American Crafts Ribbons for this challenge to make the flower. I wanted a patterned one and a thicker plain one so I dug in my stash of hoarded ribbon for these gorgeous babies!!!

I just kinda doodled it by hand then punched holes to feed the ribbon through. I used Beautiful Blooms for the petals and sentiment. Cardstock is Papertrey, Bazzill and Stampin Up, Ink is Palette- Button is American crafts, brads are making memories.

I had the hardest time getting a good photo due to the sheen on the ribbon but I LOVE bright colours so no regrets!!!

I coloured him with Soufle pens.

Spring Fling based on CPS#56

I thought this week's sketch was a perfect fit for the new Papertrey Just Hatched set. The challenge was for a spring cardI die cut and mounted with nestabilities.

I needed some spring paper so I used Imaginisce for Peeps Sake- so cute and "springy" reminds me of an easter egg....

Cardstock is Wordwin. I ran it through the Cuttlebug with Bloom Dots embossing folder. The cute scallop trim and flower trim is from Doodlebug- I used a pink soufle pen to add the dots. Ink is Stampin Up.

HOOORAY!! Honorable mention baby bib card.

I got an Honourable Mention--how cool is that? I am honoured-really.

This was my final entry for Guest Star Stamper over at Papertrey- to be honest I wasn't even gonna put it in, it was an afterthought at the 11th hour.

I needed a baby card for a co-worker so this is what I made. I saw this idea in a Papertrends mag a while back and loved it!

This card uses Papetrtrey Polka Dot basics and Just Hatched stamps. Cardstock is Papertrey Spring Moss and Stampers Select and Ink is Papertrey Spring moss and so is the ribbon. I al LOVIN' this colour!!

WSC39 Butterfly kisses and a few others.....

This was a fun sketch, I got to break out a neglected stamp set.

I had to have this Butterfly Kisses set but haven't used it much- go figure!!

Well my whole inspiration came from the paper. It is American Crafts from the metropolitan line. I love how bold and bright the colours are. It just yelled spring to me- I think we could all use a little spring-especially here in Ontario.

Cardstock is Bazzill, Ink is Palette. Stamps are Papertrey Butterfly Kisses,Mixed Messages, Little Lady and Polka Dot Basics. Brads are Making Memories, ribbon is American Crafts.

Another one Bites the DUST

Here is yet another entry that didn't win- Oh well still fun making them!!!!!

This used Papetrey Polka Dot Basics for the background and Strip. The PP is Chatterbox (love) and Cardstock is Papertrey and Stampin Up. Sentiment is from Just Hatched also from papertrey. I accented with some Olive grosgrain rbbon, pink brads and Crystal Effects on the large Polkadots

Saturday, March 15, 2008

Oh well- didn't win

Here is another failed entry from Papertrey's Guest Star Stamper.

These little cards were based on lip balm holders I've seen over on Splitcoast. Instead of Lip balm the hold vials of sweet pea seeds.
I wanted to step away from a traditional card and go with the "spring garden" theme of the stamp ...oh well maybe shoulda stuck with a card ........huh.
Here are the deets- all products are papertrey- ink, cardstock, stamps and ribbon oh excepts brads those are Making memories

This was one of my entries for this months Guest Start Stamper over at papertrey. The winner is revlealed later tonight.

These are little egg candles in a carton. The eggs were stamped with Papertrey's Polka Dot Basics stamps. The "Just Hatched" is from the set of the same name- also from papertrey.
They are sitting in a box which I covered in white cardstock and stamped with Polka Dot basics as well.

A Late WSC38

This was meant for Beate's WSC38 but I was sick as HELL yesterday and never got to upload it.

Wow I'm sure glad that flu bug only lasted 24 hours, I actually thought I might die.......well it sure felt that way LOL. My fever was 103.8-thats pretty intense I have to say....GOD Bless Nyquil.

Enough of that now, I am almost 100% today so back to work for me tomorrow!!

I used Chatterbox PP and Stampin Up Cardstock, The Polka Dots are from Papertrey which I embossed with Clear EP. The flower (from Papertrey) was stamped then glittered. The 2 sentiments are also from papertrey that I cut out with a cuttlebug die. Ink is Stampin Up. Bling Brad is Making Memories.

Holy CRAP !!!!!!

Well..................this just sucks!!!!! I have to say the photo is not crappy- it is close to white-outs over here!!!

My shed is 10ft high- drift is only a couple feet shy of the roof!!!!!

Welcome to South-Western Ontario.........................sigh.

Wedding Card Joy fold style

I made this card a while back. I used Marcella K patterened paper and some random shimmery cardstock for the fold. The stamps are from Papertrey's Eat Cake set. They were first stamped with versamark then embossed with black and burgundy embossing powder.

Flourishes

I'm loving the Tres Jolie paper from My Minds Eye. I paired it with Marigold Morning from stampin Up and Bazzill. I used 2 different stamps from papertrey's Polka Dot Basics along with Stampin Up ink to make a subtle patter on the cardstock. The flourish is from Quickuts and the flowers are from Michaels wedding section. I inked them to match.
